shet
having nothing planned for the night and not wanting to go home yet, i decided to do some window-shopping in glorietta last friday.the operative word is "tried" but i failed miserably as i ended up buying a pair of black wedge shoes i've been eyeing in janylin's for a while.i was a crossing the street between glorietta and sm when out of the corner of my eye, i saw him.yes, him who i thought i could face three months after the event.but i panicked, averted my eyes, looked straight ahead, pretend not to have seen him, tried to act casual, walked fast and hoped he didn't see me while trying to cross a busy street all in 10 seconds.still dazed, i walked into the grocery, absentmindedly picked out some food and texted my friend about the encounter.
on the way to the mrt, i was still a little bit shaken but managed to laugh at the same time about how silly i was acting.there were a lot of people lining up in the station that day that i had a difficult time finding the end of the line to get in.in the midst of craning my neck and trying to make my way through the crowd, someone tapped me from behind.for a moment i thought it was some freak or a snatcher. i tried looking for the culprit among the see of faces when i saw him!
my mind went completely blank, my heart literally skipped a beat and i felt a sudden heat rising in my face.it was all too much to take that i half blurted out and yelled the first word that could take the edge off the situation."shet!"i yelped in the most emphatic and flabbergasted way someone in my situation could say.and he just looked at me, smiling.
i didn't know what to say or do or how to react so i walked away, pretending to look for the end of the line.when i turned around, he was behind me.so ia sked him, rather sheepishly and atupidly, if he knew where the end of the line was.i din't hear his reply.at that moment, i was incapable of a single coherent thought.so i just paused for awhile, stood amidst all the people shoving and rushing around me, and watched as he disappeared inthe crowd.shet.
