when work = lovapalooza

apparently, i am a matchmaker once again, a rousingly successful matchmaker.two of my close friends at work who have known each other for almost three years are finally, finally getting a move on it, partly thanks to me.
i could not think of two people who suit each other so well.they're both extremely nice and wonderful people who look absolutely good together.i mean, come on, doesn't it distract you one bit when couples who look mismatched? the girl's too pretty or too young while the guy's too geeky or too old or the girl is plain-looking and has a nasty look but the guy is a hunk or looks too nice.but these two people, they click so well, you can almost hear the sound of two pieces of puzzle locking in place.
the guy, thanks to good old-fashioned talking to and some prodding, is beginning to make his moves as i write.and the girl, well, is speechless with joyous disbelief.ooh, i am good.imagine going through with your daily routine, not expecting anything at all and you find out someone you do like also likes you?and it makes a whole lot of difference because suddenly you feel like you have this inexhaustible energy source and you can go on and on like the energizer bunny with a wide smile plastered on your face.i can't wait to see the two of them at work together.
meanwhile, i just found out from some of the guys at work that this guy who resigned recently has been spreading rumors that we had a "thing" going on.i don't know if it's a joke or if he really said it.well, if the other guys were joking, it's not funny.but if it's true that he said the things he said, what a freak.he even offered to set me up on a date once.yikes.isn't there some sort of redemption booth where you can exchange all the wrong guys you don't want for the one right guy you do want?
