yum,yum,yum.
nakakabusog talaga si piolo. never mind that the movie ended with a lot of loose ends left hanging. never mind that the film was trying too hard to inject some form of social awareness while trying to be a love story at the same time and only half-succeeding in both accounts. never mind that the performance of the rest of the cast wasn't that spectacular or memorable.never mind that.basta sina gloi, metz, mabel, majo at ako, masaya nang makita si piolo. si robii naman, alam kong masaya na yun.
but what's good about milan is that it presents a different picture of what life is like for our ofws working abroad. there was this one scene where piolo's housemate recalled how people used to ignore him before he came to work in italy. afterwards, he says, people started treating him differently, with more respect. now he's the king, no longer a son, husband or father - just a king. it makes you admire the grit and courage of these people to go out there to work for a decent life for their families here. it's a tremendous sacrifice enough leaving your family and trying to cope and work in a strange place alone. but then, they also risk missing a lot like watching their families grow up. it's ironic that you have to leave to make life more comfortable for your family but you won't be there to see them when it happens.it's like people telling you that it's them, not you then break up with you. if it's their fault, their shortcoming, why do you have to be the one to suffer?yikes!issues.san nanggaling yun?hehehe.sabi nga ni gloi, bitter alert!hinde ah.
*****
